The Outdoor Products Mist Hydration Pack is very comfortable and has plenty of storage.
I selected this backpack to complement the straight hydration packs. It has a lot of useful pockets with innovative clips to make sure the content is kept safe and secure.
This pack is easily big enough to accept 2-liters plus other hiking essentials like a rain jacket, flashlight, a lighter, a knife, snack bars, and first-aid kit.
I’ve had no issues with the bite value or water leaks. The straps on the pack are nice and comfortable and no problems noticed after a day-hike.
I have used the Outdoor Products Mist pack on several hikes and it has been also perfect. The water reservoir is easy to use and I found it keeps the water quite cool for the duration of a day-hike.

Outdoor Products Mist
Very sturdy, all-in-all, I’m pleased with the hydration pack.
- 2 liter bladder
- Front pocket with expandable quick stash mesh
- Front zippered pockets
- 4 compression straps to control the content
- Shoulder straps with cool mesh padding
- Dimensions: 7.5 inches by 5.5 inches x 18 inches
The Mist hydration pack has plenty of space with 3 major storage compartments. Plus, it could probably accept a spare bladder (or other essential supplies) for those planning the longer hikes or runs. It can easily work as an all-out backpack because of the main, side (great for quick access items like energy chews/gels), and back compartments.
The bladder hose attachment is just about perfect. It isn’t necessary to have the hose attached while refilling the water reservoir. It is easy to put the hose to one side while refilling and once full the hose can be attached.
This Outdoor Products backpack isn’t likely to impress those interested in the more streamlined packs. If you’re after the slim packs, you will want to look at some of the CamelBak or similar-styled options.
Plus, the bite value of this pack will take a little while to get fully used to because the hole is smaller than other similar tubes. Even though it is necessary to suck slightly harder, I was soon able to get the water flowing without a problem after a while.
- Durable material
- Hydro water line in thick durable plastic
- Plenty of heavy-duty hooks
- Great price
- Lack of mechanism to sure the tube
- Straps could benefit from extra padding
- Not waterproof
The Outdoor Products Mist Hydration Pack has a List Price of $50.00 and Best Price of $39.99 (subject to change). It’s a great choice for those searching a low-cost alternative to a CamelBak.
